The Hub Juried Exhibition 2022
Open call for The Hub’s second juried exhibit.This show is open to artists ages 18 and older. We will announce accepted work via email, website, and social media channels.
Entry Fee | $25 for up to 3 entries
Size of images | Maximum image size 3 mb
Wall Hanging & Free Standing work | Must not exceed 8‘ x 8’ and 150 lbs
Ceiling Hanging work | Must not exceed 9 ’ high x 8’ wide and 50 lbs

Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance (during shipping) of artworks. All shipments must include a prepaid UPS/FedEx return label and be shipped in a container appropriate for re-use in return shipping. For hand carried deliveries and pick-ups The Hub will be open November 1 & 2 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm, November 3 1:00 – 7:00 pm, November 4 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, and November 5 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Along with your shipping label, please include an envelope containing a print-out and full description of the corresponding artwork.
Logistics |
- 2-D work must be wired and ready to hang upon delivery.
- All artwork displayed at The Hub must be the original work of the artist. No reproductions will be accepted.
- Each accepted work must be identified with the following information: Artist Name, Title, Media and Price/NFS. (If the work is not for sale – NFS – an insurance value must be stipulated or the work will not be accepted for the exhibit.)
- The Hub is not responsible for work damaged if it is not picked up by December 17. Artists whose unsold work is not picked up by that time will incur late charges of $10 per day.
- Condition reports will be made for each work upon arrival.
- Work MAY NOT, for any reason, be removed from the exhibit prior to the end of the exhibit.
Marketing and Sales |
The Hub reserves the right to photograph artworks in the exhibition for publicity and educational purposes.
20% of all sales go to The HUB – Arts and Cultural Center while the remaining 80% goes to the exhibiting artist.
Insurance for artwork |
Accepted artwork will be insured for up to $1,000 during the exhibition, but will not be responsible for any works delivered in damaged condition. Artists wishing to otherwise insure their work should contact their insurance agents directly.
Juror Bio
Natalie Shelly is an artist and educator who lives in Macomb, Illinois. She received her Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Natalie also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is the ceramics coordinator and educator at the Macomb Park District Ceramics Studio and is a naturalist educator at Lakeview Nature Area in Macomb, IL.
