Exhibit Statement
A group of Midwest Artists exhibiting in a Midwest Gallery: this exhibition’s title “Midwest Mistake Out,” reflects on a large-scale fiberglass sculpture depicting a correction fluid bottle, wite-out, titled “Mistake Out”. Each artist is connected to the process and practice of making; striving for perfection. While the resulting work varies in style, concept, and esthetic, each artist’s approach to creation is the same: “try again, fail again, fail better the next time.”
