The Hub & Schuyler Jail Museum Present:

A Day of Smiles | Celebrating Over 100 Years

The first Smiles Day was celebrated in 1919 to welcome home the soldiers of Schuyler County who fought in WWI. The celebration merged with Rushville High School’s Homecoming. “A Day of Smiles” explores the history of this special annual event.

The exhibit features images and memorabilia from Smiles Day over the years. There will also be designated days for people to record their favorite Smiles Day memories. These days will be listed on our website. The stories will be collected and housed permanently in the Schuyler Jail Museum.
