A Place to Grow
Capital Campaign
The Hub is thrilled to announce the acquisition of a new building, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing commitment to arts, creativity, and community. The purchase opens a new chapter, one that will dramatically expand The Hub’s capacity to serve artists, youth, and neighbors of all backgrounds.
The opportunity came through a generous partnership with Worthington Funeral Home, which recently acquired the Triplett Funeral Home business. Knowing that The Hub had long been searching for a larger space, the Worthingtons offered to sell the building and property at a favorable price. The space proved to be an ideal fit.
“We are so grateful to the Worthingtons for this opportunity,” said a Hub representative. “Their generosity and community spirit made this dream possible.”
A Transformative Expansion
The new building will house three dedicated studio spaces: a ceramics studio, a youth studio, and a multi-purpose studio. These spaces will be accessible through both the main entrance and a separate entrance, allowing The Hub to divide and use the space flexibly depending on programming needs.
The other half of the building will be home to a standalone gallery, something The Hub has never had before, and a dedicated gathering space. The gathering room will serve as a permanent home for performance-based programming including poetry readings, dancing, drum circles, ukulele club, and more.
Currently, The Hub’s existing space requires rearranging to accommodate different programs and cannot host multiple activities simultaneously. The new building eliminates those limitations entirely, enabling more programs to run at once and better meeting the needs of the community.
Looking Ahead
This expansion represents a major step forward for The Hub and the community it serves. With more space, more studios, and more dedicated programming areas, The Hub is positioned to deepen its impact and welcome even more people through its doors. Further details about the timeline, programming, and community events surrounding the new space will be announced in the coming weeks.
