Photo Club at the Hub!

Photo Club is a space where local photographers of all skill levels can meet on a monthly basis to share work, learn new skills, and inspire each other to get out and take more photos! You do not need to have participated in previous meetings or have photos submitted for the review in order to participate. All you need to do is show up and be excited to talk about photography!
If you would like to submit photos for review please email xochi@thehubart.com for information on the current prompt and submission guidelines.
This is a free club, but a donation of $5 is appreciated if possible!

60’s Music Night

Your Requests . . . Your Favorites!

The 1960’s – it was a special time in the music world!  From The Association to the Guess Who… Gary Puckett & The Union Gap to Steppenwolf…The Fifth Dimension to The Mamas & The Papas… and much more.  This unique presentation allows YOU to be a big part of it!  Just like with Top-40 radio in the 60’s, the request line will be open.  Attendees will choose songs from a list of 161 favorites from the era.  Then, watch vintage videos of those top stars performing their biggest hits.  Singing, dancing, and stories welcome!

Drum Circle

The Hub is hosting a Drum Circle! Join us for an evening of healing through music led by Nikki Stevenson, no previous experience required! We have a variety of instruments available, but If you have your own instrument you are welcome to bring it with you!
This is a bonus event included in our Create & Connect series focusing on the Mental Health benefits of creating and community. This is a free event, though donations are always appreciated!

*Please note that children under 7th grade must be accompanied by an adult.*

How to Support Midwest Bees

Curious about bees and interested in giving them a helping hand? Join us for a presentation on how you can support our local bee population lead by Prairie Land Conservancy’s Program Coordinator, Jaime. This event is free and open to the public.

Create & Connect | Buttons & Magnets

For this Create & Connect we will have a variety of materials available for participants to create their own custom buttons and magnets!

Create & Connect is a collaborative program between the Hub, and licensed social worker, Alex Chiatello. The group provides free opportunities for creative expression and fosters open dialogue around mental health.

*Children must be accompanied and supervised by a registered adult.*

70’s Music Night

The progression of music continues with the best of the 1970’s!  Whether or not you attended any of our 2024  series of music from the 1960’s, the 70’s is the next step.  From the Eagles to ABBA, to Chicago and Paul McCartney, to Led Zeppelin, Sister Sledge, and Donna Summer…the list goes on and on.  YOU will be a big part of it!  Participants will choose from a list of 70 songs from the 1970’s.  Then we’ll watch vintage videos of the decade’s top hits while learning trivia about each artist and song.  Singing along, dancing, and stories are welcome!

Ukulele Club

Ukulele Club is open to players of all skill levels and abilities, all you need to join in is a Ukulele! Meetings are lead by Christina Hardy, on Wednesday and Friday evenings (be sure to check dates listed below and watch the Facebook group for updates and schedule changes.)
