Cards & Conversations | Valentines Special

Cards & Conversation is a free event held once a month at the Hub. Instructors will have materials prepared and help participants to create their own greeting cards! In this special edition of Cards & Conversations instructors will help you create your own valentines!
Thanks to the generosity of local community members we are able to offer this class for free, we just ask that you register so we know how many material sets to prepare!

Heart Felt Art

Join us in making some ‘heart felt art!’ In this course we will practice some basic embroidery stitches and then use those stitches to create felt crafts. These can be ornaments, door hangers, small plushies, or even photo frames – your imagination is the limit!

Shampoos & Sugar Scrubs

In this class instructor Natalie Schneider will show participants how to make their own sugar scrubs and how to make their own shampoo (recipe inspired by the Body Shop) with simple, natural ingredients.

Each participant will make one 12 oz sugar scrub and one 16oz bottle of shampoo in class.

Create & Connect | Paper Flower Bouquets

The Hub is partnering with Schuyler County Mental Health Alliance to create a series of free activities for adults who want to socialize in a creative environment. In this months event we will be creating our own paper flower bouquets!

This event is also part of the Rushville Chamber of Commerce Galentines Weekend in Rushville, check out their facebook page for a list of other events and specials taking place.

The Ultimate Major League Baseball Parks Tour

The Hub is partnering with Spoon River College to offer this exciting opportunity to tour all 30 MLB stadiums without ever leaving Rushvillle!

Every stadium is different. Learn about their unusual features in this unique class with stories and pictures. You won’t hear how the Mets beat the Phillies 3-2. Instead, you’ll learn about the stadium with a window in the men’s room so you can watch the game while you answer nature’s call. Which park is actually eight separate buildings so it can withstand an earthquake? In which stadiums could you pet manta rays, go for a swim, or eat delicious walleye?

Snacks and drinks will be provided!
