The Hub & Schuyler Jail Museum present:
“Money isn’t the object. Taking care of people is my job —- and I love it.” – Dr. Russell Dohner
The exhibit tells the story of one man’s impact on his community. Dr. Dohner loved his patients and his community. His affection for both was felt through little acts like “certificates of bravery” and his desire to plant countless trees in Schuyler County. The exhibit explores how small acts of caring and compassion created ripples that still affect the community. During your visit take time to consider what legacy you can leave behind.
“The $5 Doctor” features images and memorabilia from Dr. Dohner’s life. At the end of your visit you will get a “Certificate of Bravery,” just like the ones Dr. Dohner used to hand out, that can be traded in for a small vanilla ice cream cone sponsored by Moreland & Devitt Pharmacy.
