We have volunteer positions for you! The HUB is a nonprofit organization and like many nonprofits we rely on the help of volunteers.
Volunteer Positions
Gallery Attendant
Gallery Attendants interact with the public on behalf of The HUB, provide information about regulations, facilities, and exhibits to visitors. The volunteer may be responsible for opening and closing the gallery at designated hours, setting security system, and greeting visitors. They will also assist visitors who would like to make purchases at The HUB. The volunteer will sell items from the store, gallery, and gift certificates. They will monitor visitors viewing exhibits and caution anyone not complying with gallery regulations. They distribute promotional materials, and answer questions about exhibits, regulations, and facilities.
Program Instructor
Program Instructor teaches a class or workshop they are qualified to teach. Program Instructors are responsible for planning, preparing, teaching, and clean-up of the program. Must have adequate qualifications to fill this volunteer position. A board member or the Executive Director will be present to supervise and assist the instructor.
Program Assistant
Program Assistants help with preparation and implementation of programs, such as Camp Wannamakeit, Cocktails & Color (must be 21), Mosaic, HUB Kids. Help supervise and assist students with their projects. Report to instructor.
Special Event Volunteers
May perform a variety of tasks including checking-in guests at admissions, setting up, and cleaning up.
Administrative Volunteers
Assist in clerical duties including data entry, filing, preparing mailings, answering phones, preparing for classes and meetings, creating and updating documents.
Exhibition Volunteers
Assist in the installation and de-installation of work in gallery, this includes preparatory tasks (painting, hanging), collection management and registration tasks (documenting), as well as curatorial tasks (assisting with the placement and interpretation of works).
Facilities Volunteers
Assist with the maintenance of building and help with the cleaning and tidying of studio and gallery spaces.
